Wild Postings for an Art Exhibition
Project Type
Poster Design
Project Overview: The task is to design a series of eye-catching and compelling “Wild Postings” posters to promote an upcoming art exhibition. The exhibition will feature a collection of artworks from Georgia O'Keeffe, and the posters should effectively capture the essence of the exhibition while being attention-grabbing and impactful. The designs should reflect the dynamic, vibrant nature of the event and stand out in urban environments.
Objectives:
- Inform the Audience: The posters should clearly communicate key event details such as exhibition name, date, time, location, and the artist’s name. It should be easy for passersby to gather this information quickly.
- Bold, Eye-Catching Designs: The posters should be designed to immediately grab attention in busy urban settings. Utilize striking visual elements to make the posters stand out on walls, poles, or public spaces.
- Typographic Emphasis: Use creative typography to highlight essential information. The text should be legible but also part of the artwork, blending design with information seamlessly.
- Incorporating the Artist’s Work: The design should integrate or be inspired by the artist’s work, ensuring the posters reflect the style, mood, or themes of the exhibition.
Deliverables:
- Primary Poster Design: A series that can tile together of promotional posters (size options: 24” x 36”, 18” x 24”) for wild postings, including the exhibition title, artist name, event details (date, time, location), and any additional graphic elements or messaging.
- Branding Elements: Design elements (logos, color palette) used for the poster’s visual identity.
